Fran Sanda, Chief Business Development Officer

Fran Sanda, as Province Brands’ Chief Business Development Officer, has over 25 years of experience in sales, sales leadership and business development focused on early stage companies. His experience has been largely with the high-tech industry with companies such as Aruba Networks, Xtera Communications, and Develcon. In his most recent engagement at Aruba Networks, he was a part of the leadership team that took the company from less than one million in sales to almost one billon. This involved seeing it through ground up building of a field organization, through an IPO on NASDAQ culminating in HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprises) acquiring it for $2.7 billon via the public market. He served as their Vice President of Canada, Global Vice President of Service Providers, and Global Vice President of System Integrators.

Fran was educated both abroad and at Seneca College and York University in a Bachelor of Arts program.

Natasha Murataeva est la directrice du département de biologie cellulaire de  Province Brands. Elle possède plus de onze années d’expériences dans le domaine de la pharmacologie du cannabis, ayant conduit des recherches portant sur les mécanismes moléculaires de la signalisation des cannabinoïdes en lien avec les récepteurs, les cellules et les organismes complets. Avant d’occuper ce poste, Dr Murataeva travaillait à l’amélioration des mécanismes d’autoréparation à l’aide de phytocannabinoïdes et de cannabinoïdes endogènes et synthétiques.  Elle a mené une équipe à identifier les cibles moléculaires responsables pour la régularisation de la pression intraoculaire, la prolifération et la migration cellulaire, en plus de travailler à l’identification et au développement de médicaments candidats présentant un potentiel commercial.  

Dr Murataeva possède une profonde compréhension de la plasticité synaptique et des mécanismes de la dépendance grâce à son travail sur les neurones rétiniens et hippocampiques. 

En plus de faire preuve d’un grand leadership, elle a de l’expertise en conception de plans expérimentaux, en développement de protocoles ainsi qu’en gestion du personnel, des risques et des ressources. 

Dr Murataeva a complété son baccalauréat ès sciences en biologie et son doctorat en neurosciences à l’Université de l’Indiana à Bloomington, aux États-Unis.

Natasha Murataeva, Cell Biologist

Natasha Murataeva is a Cell Biology Lead at Province Brands. She has 11+ years of experience in cannabinoid pharmacology, having researched the molecular mechanisms of cannabinoid signaling at receptor and cellular level and also in whole organisms. 

In her previous position Dr. Murataeva focused on augmenting healing mechanisms with endogenous, synthetic and phytocannabinoids. She led a team to discover molecular targets that regulate intraocular pressure, cellular migration and proliferation, and worked on identification and development of drug candidates with commercial potential. 

Additionally, Dr. Murataeva has a deep understanding of addiction mechanisms and synaptic plasticity through her work on hippocampal and retinal neurons. She has expertise in experiment design and protocol development, resources and risk management as well as team building and leadership.

Dr. Murataeva received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience degrees from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, USA. She has been published in various journals including the British Journal of Pharmacology, Pharmacological Research, and Neuropharmacology. Mme Krapf a été vice-présidente du développement chez sekretagent Productions où elle aidait au développement de diverses composantes de jeux vidéo.  

Mme Krapf est diplômée de l’Université Yale et a complété sa maîtrise en beaux-arts à la School of Cinematic Arts de l’Université de Californie du Sud.

Ms. Krapf is a former VP of development at sekretagent Productions where she assisted in the development of various video game properties.

Ms. Krapf is a graduate of Yale University and received an MFA from USC's School of Cinematic Arts.
